library thing is fine i guess - useful for people who do not have any other way of keeping track of what they have read and what they want to read. as with the previous *things*, i'm not sure if i'll have the interest level or the time to use it. i keep a *diary* of my reading (a notebook i bought in california once), and that seems to work okay for me.

I also use the diary idea for my book logging. I am having some trouble getting my books into the libraything but will keep trying. I found your list interesting. Might even try some of the books you posted.
Try Librarything to find books. If you like cookbooks, try a LibraryThing mashup search using the term "cookbooks" and something else. I collect literary and popular culture cookbooks and I've found titles playing around on LibraryThing I never would have heard of. I also use it to find those books the customer remembers only bits about. Anyway, I have more fun and use out of LibraryThing in finding books than book logging.
